I know he did well in Holland but I just think he's better as an assistant

McClaren the wally with the brolly tends to resign
However the Geordies do play all the teams around them before end of season so they can decide their future themselves

As long as Villa go down, be nice if the fat man also goes I guess

He was wanted by some whoers in the summer ahead of slav

Marston - I remember that, yes. I was staggered. But - hey - hence my question.

Not only did quite a few want him before Slav, some had him as their FIRST CHOICE

I'm staggered by the amount of money he has spent at Newcastle on average players.

I'm always amazed at how he has a fucking ridiculous shit eating grin on his face when he gets interviewed after they get a hammering.

The fans must love that.

Re: Steve Maclaren
Agree lowlife, there never seems any urgency about him, early in the season he was saying we knew it was going to be difficult, now it's about getting fitter

Re: Steve Maclaren
fuck knows what he's up to yesterday when he kept disappearing to the dressing room every ten minutes

His Barnet is majestic. How the fuck does he get away with no questions about his Barnet? Unbelievable. Can't have long left with that surely

Hopefully, McLaren will stay at the helm long enough to relegate Newcastle, but I fear that Ashley will do the right thing and bin him, sooner rather than later.

Re: Steve Maclaren
He looked a bit shocked yesterday when the post game Sky interviewer effectively said to him 'You seem very perky and upbeat yet you are putting out a load of shit that are playing like they've never met'.

Talks a good story but they were so open and uninvolved at the start it was startling.

"I know he did well in Holland but I just think he's better as an assistant "

What utter bullshit. I guess you believe what you read in the Sun. He inherited a brilliant Fred Rutten team and just about held it together for 1 season. When it started to fall apart he did a runner.

Wouldn't mind getting that Wijnaldum if they tank.
